Things to remember:
- PE Kit - every Wednesday and Thursday
- Homework - Olympic Spellers, reading at the weekend and maths (see below)
- Topic homework to be completed over the whole term
All these elements contribute to the attitudes and behaviours section in your Assertive Mentoring meetings.
Literacy Boot Camp
Maths Homework - Set every Friday, the content will be areas covered during the week, so the children can demonstrate their learning outside the classroom. This homework is due on the following Tuesday. Children are encouraged to become responsible for their own homework; ensuring Homework Diaries go home and come in for signing, sheets to go home and come back on time etc.
There will, every so often throughout the term, be extra homework (research, presentations) set over the course of a full week for the children to demonstrate their creativity.
Topic Homework - Once a term, the class will be set a larger scale homework task based on the theme of the topic.
Term 1: Reaching Forward, Reaching Back, the topic has a broad Tudor theme, so the extended homework project is to design and make a Tudor House - due in on the final week before half term.
